"To nurture lifelong learners and inspire global citizenship within a rigorous and supportive academic environment"

Learning Philosophy

LEARNING is concerned with the acquisition and development of knowledge skills and understanding.

We believe that real learning occurs when there is a sense of:

Purpose, enjoyment of learning, achievement, progress, enthusiasm, mutual respect for each other and the world around us, curiosity, energy, confidence, awe and wonder, fun, consistency, engagement, harmony, equality, value, reflection, structure, innovation, and connection.

Aim of the School

The British School of Boston aims to provide a broad and balanced education for all the students in its care. By intending to create a happy, caring and stimulating learning environment, students are able to grow academically, develop self-esteem and reach their full potential. The school's goals include:

  • Strive for excellence in education
  • Enable children to reach their full potential in all aspects of the school's curriculum
  • Provide children with an education appropriate to the world in which they live
  • Develop in children a love of learning and a desire to expand their knowledge and skills throughout their lives
  • Foster an atmosphere of mutual respect wherein children learn to live together in a community and recognize others' strengths
  • Encourage children to become responsible, independent people with a sense of moral responsibility and self-discipline
