I have been teaching for 11 years now and before moving to Boston, taught at George Watson's College in Edinburgh - one of Scotland's largest and oldest independent schools. I graduated with an MA in English and History from the University of Edinburgh in 1996 and completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Moray House in 1999. Between those years I was lucky enough to spend some time traveling the world . Whilst teaching in Edinburgh, I held several positions of responsibility and leadership, from Head of Sport to Year Head.
In 2005 I became involved with the University of Edinburgh's School of Education, working with and evaluating students on a part-time basis. I am passionate about education and my work with the university gave me the opportunity to develop my career by giving several keynote speeches at different postgraduate conferences.
I love living in Boston; it really is the gateway to the outdoors and I enjoy getting out whenever I can.
