Ms. Emma Northey

Before coming to America I went to Kingston university where, much to my parents’ horror, I seemed to be an eternal student; coming away after 8 years with a degree in Education, a degree  in Psychology, and a Masters in Education and Educational Management.

I taught for 18 years in three schools. For 14 of those years I was Head of the Lower school in an independent primary school in London.  I came to America in August 2002 and started at BSB when the school was in Dedham. I have taught in both Reception and Year 1 and have really enjoyed watching the school grow and develop over the years.

I have recently taken on the job as Head of Primary Learning and I am really looking forward to working with the rest of the fabulous Primary team to move the Primary department at BSB to the next level of excellence.

I am married to Scott, who is American and is a lawyer, and we have daughter, Willow. We also have a very large Great Dane puppy called Mosi.
